The Bowhunting Council of Oklahoma is the state organization whose main purpose is to promote the sport of bowhunting across the state of Oklahoma. For over 30 years the Bowhunting Council of Oklahoma has worked to ensure that the bowhunters of Oklahoma and those that follow will be able to hunt with a bow and arrow.
The Bowhunting Council of Oklahoma stands for the wise use of Oklahoma's natural resources and conservation of wild game and their habitat. The Bowhunting Council of Oklahoma is actively involved in fighting the anti-hunting movement in Oklahoma and across the nation.
Since it's beginning the Bowhunting Council of Oklahoma has been the state sponsor of the International Bowhunter Education Program and works with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife to provide bowhunter education throughout the state of Oklahoma.
With your membership, you will receive a quarterly magazine to help keep you abreast of issues effecting bowhunters and the sportsmen and sportswomen of Oklahoma.

- To foster, expand, perpetuate and educate the practice of bowhunting and conservation of Oklahoma's natural resources.
- To cooperate with and support federal and state agencies, which are insuring the propagation and preservation of game and it's natural habitat, and to propose or support legislation which will enhance the sport of bowhunting in Oklahoma.
- To conduct educational programs designed to acquaint the public and the archer with the safe and ethical use of the bow as an effective method of hunting legal game.
- To foster and perpetuate unity and the spirit of good fellowship among all bowhunters.
The members of the Bowhunting Council of Oklahoma consist of dedicated and ethical persons who have accepted the challenge of hunting with hand-held and hand-drawn bows and are dedicated to understanding wildlife and wildlife conservation. The Bowhunting Council of Oklahoma is a strong proponent of the International Bowhunter Education Program and it's volunteer instructors conduct the program on a statewide basis.
