Bowhunter Education
The Bowhunting Council of Oklahoma provides education to any interested group or organization. We have provided education to Becoming an Outdoor's Woman, the National Wild Turkey Federation Women in the Outdoors, Girls Scouts, Boy Scouts, and kid's clubs.
Our primary method of education is through the International Bowhunter Education Program. The IBEP is the only program of its kind that is available in all U.S. states, most Canadian provinces, Mexico land 18 countries in Europe and Africa. The IPEB is a 10 hour course that teaches responsibility, bowhunting methods, safety and equipement, big game anatomy, shot placement, treestand safety, scouting and big game recovery. The program is provided by volunteer instructors using innovative training aids and hands-on experience. The IBEP is recognized by the Oklahoma Wildlife Department and all states, countries and Canadian provinces that require bowhunter education to purchase a bowhunting license.
The Bowhunting Council of Oklahoma provides IBEP at various locations throughout the state.
For more information on class or to schedule a class in your area contact the Education Chairman, Rob Ray (918-245-1786) or any Oklahoma IBEP Instructor.
